Bought a 3.55 OFW PS3.. Followed a CFW Tutorial and now im on 4.31 OFFICIAL FIRMWARE?

i dont understand what i did wrong and i dont understand what state my ps3 is in.
it says 4.31 ofw but i dont know why.
i wanted to upgrade my ps3 to cfw 4.30 rogero from Ofw 3.55. so i followed this tutorial.

here is the problem
when i prepared the usb
i Created a folder called PS3, within that folder created a folder called UPDATE.
i copied and paste MultiMan, Showtime, & Toggle_QA to the root of the USB stick.
THEN i copied rogero 4.30 cfw to the update folder and renamed it PS3UPDAT.PUP

when i went to recovery menu and did the update. installed multiman. showtime and qa toggle.
i clicked qa toggle and got an error. went to system settings and saw i was on ofw 4.31.. WHAT THE HELL??
HOW does a rogero 4.30 cfw file update me to official firmware 4.31 and WHY was i able to install multiman , showtime and qa toggle if im on ofw.
how do i fix this?
