Okay, so I just bought a PS3 from ebay and it should show up in a few days. It is the old 40 GB model, but has had a 1 TB hard drive installed. I want to hack this system so that I can download games and play them from the hard drive, like if I were to make a backup of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 in case I can't have the discs on me at the time (don't worry, I'm definitely getting those games legit, I love KH). I would like to be able to play online, too, but I'm not especially worried about that since I'm not into a lot of online games like CoD. I've looked through the threads, but I'm not entirely sure which one I should follow, especially since I'm new to PS3 entirely. Also, I am going to assume this has the newest OFW on it (4.65 I think?) so there is that to consider, too. So... If nobody can help me out on this specific thread, can you point me in the right direction please? I appreciate any help I get! ^_^ In the meantime, I'm going to go back to reading up on these tutorials, because I'm pretty sure I've missed something.
